The property is located in Anjou, in the Loir valley, in the heart of wooded, rural countryside.
Angers (population 160.000) is just 15 minutes away by car. Angers is the capital of the Anjou region, with all the shops and services you need (university hospital, universities, TGV train station providing a 1h30 hour link to Paris). The town centre is magnificent, with its narrow streets, the imposing silhouette of its 13th-century castle, and the parks and gardens in the heart of the town. The château was built in the 19th century. In the second half of the century, its owner, a French lawyer and member of parliament, had the two towers and a gallery built around the main body, forming a peristyle. He is said to have been inspired by a trip to Italy. The rendered stone construction is trimmed with tufa stone and brick quoins, and adorned with elegant shutters. The azure and orange hues of the façade give the château a Mediterranean glow and an Italianate style. The château spans around 300 sqm excluding the attic space and faces South-West/North-East.
Ground floor: an entrance hall leading to a large 28 sqm lounge with 3.3 m high ceilings, a 25 sqm dining room, a 20 sqm lounge, a kitchen, two rooms in the towers as well as a utility room-wc and a small entrance hall to the north.
Upstairs: accessed via a central staircase opening onto a landing: 4 large bedrooms, 3 bathrooms or shower rooms, 2 other small bedrooms in the towers and a toilet and WC.

Outbuildings:

A/ An annex house situated immediately to the west of the castle. With a floor surface area of approx. 75 sqm, it comprises a kitchen, a living room, 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, a utility room and a toilet. The property has not been restored for many years. The central heating system is out of order, the electricity is around fifty years old and the house is connected to the mains water supply.

B/ A caretaker's cottage to the south-west of the Château. With a floor surface area of approx. 45 sqm, (it comprises two main rooms, out of date, with a recent electrical panel. Two attached garages. An old building comprising former stables and garages as well as former pigsties are nearby.

C/ A group of outbuildings to the west of the castle: kennel-dovecote, small roofs in the extension of the annex house (garages, workshops, storerooms, etc.).
