The manor was part of a fiefdom whose origins date back to the end of the 15th century. Several smallholdings depended on this fief. The estate belonged to a noble family, one of whose abbots distinguished himself during the Vendée wars.
The outbuildings date back to the 18th century. A gold louis bearing the effigy of Louis XVI was found hidden in the outbuilding.
