The origins of the estate date back to the 14th century. It is listed in one of the volumes of the Guy de Raigniac’s « de chateaux en Logis », an inventory of all historical dwellings and châteaux in the Vendée. The fortified dwelling belonged to a powerful local lord. There is a small loophole from this period in the stone spiral staircase tower. Initially, the estate was enclosed, with barns and a chapel, which no longer exists. However, other vestiges remain, such as the wall of the old barn with two large arches.

Built on the edge of a small, peaceful hamlet, the estate comprises the main house and several outbuildings, with stone walls and tiled roofs. It has been carefully restored using quality materials.
The local stone construction with lime pointing is typical of the region. The house, with its tower, stone spiral staircase, monumental fireplace, arched doors and vaulted cellar, is typical of a noble house of the period. Certain architectural features, such as the simple but refined door surrounds, contrast with the fortified style and give the house greater habitability and elegance.

The front door opens onto a corridor that leads to the following rooms on the ground floor.
On the one hand, there is a lovely, cosy kitchen (35 sqm), with old tiled floor, beams and wood-burning stove; a large lounge (42 sqm) with old tiled floor and monumental granite fireplace. From the lounge, a door leads to the tower and the stone spiral staircase.
Behind the kitchen is a utility room with washbasin, washing machine and worktop.

There is also a second entrance hall, another lounge (34 sqm) with a wood-burning stove and a modern bathroom with bath, shower and toilet. A straight staircase leads from this second entrance to a large bedroom on the first floor.

The first floor is also accessed via the stone spiral staircase in the tower, which leads to a landing used as a study (17 sqm). Three bedrooms and a bathroom are accessed from the landing. The fourth bedroom is accessed via the other staircase and has its bathroom on the ground floor.

Several stone and tiled outbuildings provide parking for three cars, storage for the house's equipment, firewood and a workshop.

The grounds extend to almost 4.000 sqm.
