Situated between Nantes and La Roche-sur-Yon, close to a village with just over 2,000 inhabitants, this property is in the north-west of the Vendée department.

According to Pauline Retailleau in her reference work ‘Châteaux, Manoirs and Logis de Vendée’, the architecture of this residence is both refined and charmingly simple, displaying ‘a lovely play of polychromy, with alternating brick and stone in the courses, channelling, cornice and even the fireplaces’.
The south facade, overlooking the park via a central staircase, is the most majestic. Crowned by a beautifully rounded pediment, it is framed by two round towers that embellish it with their slender spires topped by a peppered roof.
The view over the park is open and unobstructed, with the sensation of nature totally untouched by any nuisance.
The north side of the château is simpler, but also features a curved pediment. Access is through a central doorway that is almost at ground level.

The interior of the château has been meticulously maintained and renovated in light, luminous colours, making it very pleasant to live in. This high-quality renovation has preserved the original atmosphere of the chateau, which has retained all its decorative features: mouldings on the ceilings, beautiful wood panelling, cabochon tiles, herringbone parquet flooring, terracotta floor tiles in the kitchen, old marble fireplaces, beautiful winding staircase, etc.
On the ground floor, the through hallway of more than 20sqm overlooking the stairway opens its double doors onto the reception rooms.
- On the left, you enter the 37sqm dining room, which opens onto a 27sqm kitchen and then onto a 24sqm rounded glass roof offering a wonderful view of the parklands to the east. The kitchen is fitted with a central island and high-quality La Cornue appliances. The ground floor toilets are located in one of the two towers.
- To the right of the entrance hall is the 39sqm lounge. The lounge leads into a 32sqm room that could be used as a study, library, smoking room or television room. This room is complemented by a small room in the second tower, currently used as an office.
The curved staircase leads to the first floor landing, which has three rooms. The first is a large room, currently used as a library/music room, with a shower room in one of the towers.
