Normandy

On the edge of the English Channel, the coast is punctuated by the cliffs of Etretat, fishing ports and rocky headlands. This region offers fabulous views of forests, valleys or maritime wetlands with extensive wildlife. The renowned half-timbered houses stand as a testimony to the region´s architectural heritage. Normandy is also known for its gastronomy, (le beurre et le camembert!) its wooded countryside, its prestigious stud farms (haras) and its chateaux.
